Are you getting tired of my Project Pan posts? Well, tough. Keeping a running project pan was on my 12 goals for 2018 list. So while I have half finished posts about imposter syndrome, the idea of a fantasy self, and my recent trip to California, you’re going to keep getting project pan posts until I get myself reorganized. Which I will do. Soon!
Here’s my “5 by April Fools” Project Pan intro that will be followed by a “5 by Cinco de Mayo” pan, which will hopefully have different items, if I’m doing this right!
Smashbox Light It Up Contour (This is one of three mini palettes that were in the Smashbox Light It Up Kit. I suspect this was a 2016 Holiday Kit? You can still get it if you go hunting, for about $30 for a contour kit (below), eye palette, and lip palette.)
My goal with this palette is to reach pan on the contour shade (far left) and to utilize the brightening powder (far right). Due to the narrow pans, I have a hard time dipping into one without hitting the others, depending the brush I am using. As such, I fully anticipate depotting this soon. I do love the contour shade. It’s cool but not muddy. The brightening shade I have spent less time with, but it is pretty nice as well.
In my last update, you saw the state of this smashed product. Well, no fear. I did what may be the worst makeup repressing job ever. I didn’t fully break up or mix together the two shades, and I added a little too much isopropyl alcohol. So far I’m OK with the consistency of the product. I think I can fully use this by April 1.
I bet you never thought you would see this again… But you were wrong! I genuinely feel like I’m getting close. I’m constantly inspecting the tube at the top, looking for the day soon when I’ll see the space as the last of the product gets pushed up. I believe in myself and my ability to TOTALLY FINISH THIS by April 1.
Blush from Coastal Scents Blush + Bronzer Mini Palette (Boxycharm Item, Retails $13.95 for entire palette)
This is the very first item I ever depotted and the very first item I ever repressed. It was in my earliest project pans. It is a BOLD color that is very easy to overdo. However, I dig it and how evenly it applies when used lightly. I’ve been trying to use some other blush palettes for a couple of months now, and I’m ready to come back to this! I doubt I’ll finish it by April 1, but I want to see some significant widening of that pan!
I was debating including this. I am very focused on exfoliating and moisturizing. The sooner I can use this up, the sooner I can experiment with some other, fun items. As a result of using this more, I have surprisingly gone through a number of lip moisturizing products. (I’m looking at you, Bigelow samples from American Airlines.) I can’t complain about that, as I do see a difference in how matte liquid lipsticks apply, when I’m using them and not the Pur Lip Lure (above).
