I’ve seen a few of the Project Pan folks I watch on YouTube begin a “12 Days of Christmas” pan. This is a collaboration that I am in no way a part of. However, I am stealing the title and the concept of using 12 items before Christmas.
From my October Project Pan Finale, I’m carrying over the following four items:
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleanser (Boxycharm Item, Retails $47), Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer in Light/Medium (Retails $7.99), Pixi Beauty Mini Brow Trio (Ipsy Item, Full Brow Palette Retails $12), Blush from Coastal Scents Blush + Bronzer Mini Palette (Boxycharm Item, Retails $13.95 for entire palette).
I probably only have one-two masks left in the Dr. Brandt item. I’m eager to finish the Covergirl concealer. I made some great progress on the Pixi Brow trio. I had to repress the blush from Coastal Scents, but I’m actually a pretty big fan of the blush compared to any others in my stash, so I’ll continue to use it.
5. Pur Lip Lure in Fancy (Boxycharm Item, Retails $22)
If you read all of my Boxycharm reviews, you’ll know that I did not love this item. I still do not like the swizzel application. However, I like the product itself better now. It is hydrating, and the color is deep enough to be noticeable but easy enough to reapply.
6. Pure Cosmetics Buff Collection Palette (Boxycharm Item, Retails $50)
I’m hoping to hit pan on two of these shades. This is a dupe for the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay. I’m actually pretty pleased with the formula overall, and with a range of shades, I think I can get good use out of this.
7. Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon perfume sample (Full size $65-110)
I really love this bourbon-y, musky scent. I think I still prefer YSL Opium as “my” scent, but I’d like to use up this sample.
8. REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream Face Lotion (Full size, $45)
I’m working through Sephora Favorites of skincare. This is the one I’m currently on. I’m liking the texture of the cream, but I’m not so sure it’s suitable for my skin. It may be the change of seasons, but my skin has been very dry. There’s only one way to know for sure!
9. St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Sensitive Skin – Gentle (Retails Approximately $3.50)
It’s always a little concerning to me when I can’t find a link to the product in question. Apparently St. Ives has come under fire for its products. What I do know is I’ve had this sitting around for quite a while, and I’d like to use it up so I can dip into some nicer scrubs I have for both face and body. I’ll be using this primarily as a gentle exfoliant for my body, rather than my face, after reading about the negative aspects of the product.
10. Glam Glow Glow Starter (Full size, $49)
Like the REN Global Protection Day Cream, this is next on my list of Sephora Favorites I’m trying out. I’m a little nervous about it, as I don’t typically use tinted face lotions.
11. OFRA Liquid Lipstick in Americano (Retails $20, but there’s always a 30% off code)
I think everyone knows OFRA is my favorite for liquid lipsticks. This Americano shade came in my Boxycharm a couple years back. As such, I know it’s at least nearing two years old. It’s also a great winter shade. It may be ambitious to include two lip products in a project pan, but I like to live on the edge…
12. E.L.F. HD Lifting Concealer in Fair (Retails $3)
This formula is a little thicker than the Covergirl one. The shade is also a bit darker. So while I’m having two concealers in this project pan, they serve different purposes. Honestly, I just bought the Tarte Shape Tape, and I don’t feel like I can use it until I get rid of these two. Since I don’t have a foundation in this project pan, I’m anticipating more rushed mornings using my concealer in lieu of foundation just to use it up.
